Why Kachina
A Kachina doll is used by the Pueblo Nations of South West
USA to represent the protective spirits of the tribe in a child’s learning
about life, the tribe and their religion.
In 2008 Les hosted a party of Apache, Navajo, Paiute and
Zuni students and their teachers to a barbecue and received a Kachina Doll as a
thank you for his hospitality.
In setting up his business the protective nature of a
Kachina reflected the environment in which he wished to operate so the Kachina
received from the students became his company logo.
